Site Tip – Finding Lost Referrals

Have you ever referred a friend to MyDreamHunts.com and then found out that they signed up but you didn’t get credit? That can happen pretty easily if your friend signs up but doesn’t get your email address exactly correct when they register or when they don’t use the link that is sent in a Referral Email.

Not to worry – we just updated the Referral Manager on the website to allow you to reconnect with those “lost” referrals. Now you can easily get credit for those folks you were able to introduce to MyDreamHunts.com.

Before we can get started you’ll need to do a few things: First, find out what email address your referral used when they registered on MyDreamHunts.com. That might be a different email address than the one you sent the original referral email to them in the Referral Manager. Second, make sure they didn’t give credit to someone else for the referral – could have easily happened if they received multiple invitations. Third, let them know that you’re going to try connecting with them and ask them to watch their email. You’ll understand why in a bit.

The process is fairly easy but there are a few twists we’ll work out along the way. Simply follow the steps outlined below and you’ll get those referrals just in time to win that big hunt!

1) Log in to your account at www.mydreamhunts.com and then select the Referral Manager link from the My Account menu in the top left.

2) Follow either a. or b. below based on your situation.

a. If your friend signed up using the same email address you sent the referral to then you will see them in the list of your referrals with a link that says “Sent on ( date )” – click that link and the message below will appear – just click Ok and the referral confirmation email will be sent to them.

b. If your friend signed up using a different email address then you’ll need to click the “Send Referral Emails” link at the top of the Referral Manager, enter your friend’s name and the exact email address they used to register, and click the Send button – the Referral Manager will determine that they are an existing member and will send them the referral confirmation email.

All that is left is to have your friend confirm your referral by following the link in the referral confirmation email that was sent to them in the steps above. Once they’ve confirmed your referral then you will see them in your Referral Manager list with a status of Credit Earned.
