LOCATION La Griffe d’Ours inc. is situated in the province of Quebec at about hundred miles from Montreal. Located in the flood plain of the St-Lawrence River. Close to a National Park and a Provincial Wildlife Reserve, an habitat of choice is found for the small and the big game. The numerous amounts of black bear, moose and birds like woodcock and ruffed grouse are found in this area. The lodge itself is located on the shore of the St-Maurice River, which is offering a great opportunity for fishing. A large quantity of fish can be caught in this river such as northern pike, walleye, small mouth bass and brown trout. GUIDE SERVICE All our hunts are offering a full guiding service. A full guiding service mean the guide take care of the hunters for the entire trip with us. After the hunting briefing and the safety tips, the guide check if you have the proper equipment to achieve your hunt and make sure that your hunting weapon is well set. The guide bring you back in the wood to your hunting site, set you up and come again at night to pick you up. When you harvest your trophy, the guide take care of it and prepare it for the transportation back to your home. PACKAGES American black bear The black bear hunt take place in zone 7, 15 and 26 of the Quebec wildlife zone. We cover different type of habitat due to the size of the land we have. Year to year, we have an average of 90% success. The hunt is over baited site and all the hunters have the opportunity to hunt bait that is never been hunt before him. All the bait are set for both bow hunter or firearm hunter and are design to offer the best advantages to the hunter. Also, we are offering ground blind for the one who cannot hunt from a tree stand. All of this brought us a great success every year and for that reason we are able to harvest some nice trophy out of the wood for great pleasure of the hunters.
